North Korea is listed as #1 on Open Doors’ list of top persecutors of Christians.  Learn more of what you need to know here.  Most noteable fact, in my mind:  as a result of the huge famine/food shortage that hit in 1996, 2-3 million North Koreans have died! 

October 21, 2007, found this article this week.  It tells about the food shortages in North Korea.  I don’t believe that people “are not starving” as the article says.  It states that there is not enough food to feed the people (as it TONS of food short) — how does this mean that people are “not starving?”.  Anyhow, I’m not trying to be the cynic.  I just posted this so you would pray.  Please pray for North Korea, that God would free them from oppression of EVERY kind. 

November 14, 2007.  I’m excited about the talks going on between North and South and their leaders.  I just read this article about it.  It seems slow moving, and like not much is happening, but what makes me glad is that there is continued attention being given to North Korea.  If that continues, it’s only a matter of time before the atrocities being perpetrated against her people will be exposed.  Pray with me that God WILL bring to light the religious persecution, abject poverty and starvation in this land — and that governments will step in and stop the madness, and that righteousness will reign over that dark place!!
