Isaiah 60: 1-3 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. Isaiah 60:13 “The glory of Lebanon will come to you, the pine, the fir and the cypress together, to adorn the place of my sanctuary; and I will glorify the place of my feet.” We are walking candles for His glory, walk in His Glory, Light, Love and
Grace.

I also was stirred by this passage and had my own questions…it always seems like we focus on the obvious…personally I have been recently stirred to press in and ask these “other ” questions… I appreciate your comments as I was wondering those same things, also why did Jesus say to the man…”Son, your sins are forgiven” ? Is it possible that the man did not feel worthy to be healed because of all the wrong he saw in his life. He may have thought that because of all the wrong in his life he needed to DO something to “get right with God” when really he needed to JUST BELIEVE God is a good and will heal him for His glory alone. It would seem like that kind of encounter would alone push him towards “getting right with God” Love does cover a multitude of sins. Just some thoughts…

I wasn’t sure how this connected to my post at first . . . but i see in the Romans 4 passage — when we believe God, it’s called righteousness!

“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS” (Jeremiah 23:5–6).

Paul gives us some insight into God’s definition of righteousness in several passages.

“Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness” (Romans 4:3).
“Faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness” (Romans 4:9).
“Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness” (Galatians 3:6).
Each of these verses refers to one thing that Abraham did to attain true righteousness: he believed.

Finally, Paul provides the Lord’s definition of righteousness: “[Abraham] staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness” (Romans 4:20–22).

The Bible could not make this matter any clearer. Righteousness is believing the promises of God, being fully persuaded he’ll keep his word.

If we desire to live righteous lives we must ask (based in His Word) and believe! As we do, we are changed.

One last thing about meeting together and encouraging one another!
…we should do so even MORE as we see THE DAY approaching. Although the day is not yet, we certainly see it approaching faster than ever before. We can just look around and OPEN our spiritual eyes or the eyes of our understanding. WOW thanks for the good Word maybe you could title the message the 5 heads of lettuce (ha ha).

Thanks for stopping in and for posting your thoughts! It is appreciated!

I absolutely agree with you on both points.

On #2, let me clarify. The “peace” I was referring to was the peace that the Antichrist regime will bring on the earth — a false, deceptive peace that will ensare many.

1 Thessalonians 5:3
While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

To receive the “peace” of Antichrist’s rule as a good thing will lead to destruction. That’s what I was referring to.

We are watchful for the Prince of Peace to return and restore all things and bring TRUE peace ON EARTH, in EVERY sphere of society. Surely He is reigning today in those who submit to Him. But the manifestation of His government and peace will know no end (Isaiah 9) as He brings it to bear as a Man ruling the Earth in the Millenium.
